Laurent Fabius traveled to Beijing on September 3 to represent France at the ceremonies to mark the 70th anniversary of the end of the Second World War and to pay tribute to the millions of victims of the conflict in Asia, alongside the UN secretary-general.

On this occasion, Laurent Fabius saw President Xi Jinping and met with Prime Minister Li Keqiang, as well as with his counterpart Wang Yi. On the sidelines of the ceremonies, he met with his Mongolian counterpart, Lundeg Purevsuren, whom he had received in June 2015 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our two countries.

This is Laurent Fabius’s 11th visit to China.
