Laurence Boone, Minister of State for Europe, attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, will be in the state of Hesse, Germany, on September 15-16 for meetings with her German counterpart, Anna Lührmann, and her Polish counterpart, Konrad Szymański. These meetings are taking place within the framework of the Weimar Triangle, a French-German-Polish forum for discussion and cooperation established in 1991.

The ministers will address several European and international issues, particularly the European response to the war in Ukraine and the energy crisis; they will also meet with Ukrainian refugees. They will also discuss the question of enlargement as well as the situation in the Western Balkans.

Topics related to the future of Europe (the European Political Community, institutional reforms, economic governance, industrial and trade policy) will also be on the agenda.
