Serbia – Kosovo – Release of Kosovo police officers (27 June 2023)

France welcomes the release of three Kosovo police officers following the decision of the court in Kraljevo (Serbia). This is an important first stage in the de-escalation of tensions between Kosovo and Serbia.

Similarly, we call on the Kosovo authorities also to commit to this approach without delay, in accordance with the parameters set by the European Union to end the crisis, which remain valid. It is more essential than ever for Pristina and Belgrade to demonstrate a responsible attitude by returning to the table of negotiations facilitated by the European Union.
