Share

Announced by President Emmanuel Macron, the Création Africa art forum will take place from 6 to 8 October 2023 in Paris. This first forum, which follows on from the New Africa-France Summit, aims to encourage the forging of creative bridges and the sharing of innovative ideas between France and the countries of the African continent. The aim is to make Création Africa a key event for those working in the cultural and creative industries (CCIs).

What are the CCIs?

The cultural and creative industries are sectors involving the creation, development, production and distribution of goods, services and activities with cultural, artistic and/or heritage content. They play a central role in the French economy, generating jobs and promoting French skills around the world.

At the crossroads of economic diplomacy and soft power, the promotion of the CCIs is a key aspect of French policy. Since 2015, it has been included in the public export support mechanism, structured by priority “families”.
