Iran (31 January 2024)

Stéphane Séjourné, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, had a meeting on 31 January with the families of our four compatriots who have been arbitrarily held in Iran for months on end.

He assured them that he stands alongside them in this terrible ordeal, as do all the State’s services, on President Macron’s instructions.

As the Minister said to his Iranian counterpart during their meeting in New York on 23 January, France is working flat out to secure our compatriots’ release.
