Afghanistan – Public executions (14 April 2025)

France utterly condemns the public execution of four men in Afghanistan on Friday 11 April. These executions come on top of daily human-rights violations by the Taliban that affect all Afghans, particularly women and girls.

France reiterates its opposition to the death penalty everywhere and in all circumstances, and reaffirms its unfailing commitment, alongside its partners, to the Afghan people’s basic freedoms.
