Israel/Palestinian Territories – UNRWA (26 January 2024)

France was appalled to learn about the information communicated by UNRWA today regarding the involvement of some of its employees in the terrorist attacks of 7 October against Israel. It takes note of the UNRWA communiqué announcing the launch of an investigation and the suspension of those employees.

France reiterates its unequivocal condemnation of the terrorist attacks committed by Hamas and other terrorist groups on 7 October.

We call on UNRWA to take measures to ensure that no hate speech can thrive within it any longer without firm sanctions.
