France utterly condemns the attack on Majdal Shams (28 July 2024)

France utterly condemns the attack on the Druze town of Majdal Shams in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights, whose casualty toll was especially heavy.

We extend our condolences to the loved ones of the victims, who included several children, and our solidarity to those injured.

France calls for everything to be done to prevent a new military escalation, and will continue its action vis-à-vis the parties to this end.

France recalls that French nationals are still very strongly advised not to visit Lebanon, Israel or the Palestinian Territories.
