Venezuela – Result of the presidential election (29 July 2024)

The Venezuelan people voted in large numbers and peacefully in the presidential election. Their choice must be respected.

France asks for Venezuela’s electoral law to be fully implemented, involving among other things the complete publication of polling-station reports and results. Only complete transparency in the electoral process will guarantee the honesty of the ballot and respect for the will of voters.

France calls on the Venezuelan authorities to conclude this democratic process successfully and transparently.
