NATO – Turkey’s Parliament votes to authorize the ratification of Sweden’s accession protocol (23 January 2024)

France takes note of the Turkish Parliament’s vote to authorize the ratification of Sweden’s NATO accession protocol. We hope the Turkish authorities will ratify it in a timely fashion and that Hungary will complete its own ratification process as quickly as possible.

Sweden’s membership in NATO, which follows that of Finland, will represent a major boost to our collective defense and Euro-Atlantic security.
